PHOTOS: Kern County firefighters extinguished the Stagecoach Fire on Saturday and say nobody was injured in the blaze. The fire was reported around 3:00 p.m. near the intersection of Monteverde Road and Stagecoach Lane. Burning vegetation was threatening nearby homes, and had already burned one structure, according to KCFD. Firefighters split into two groups to stop the spread of the flames and to protect threatened structures. The fire burned over seven acres, two homes, five RVs, and a dozen vehicles, according to KCFD. Power lines above the scene, propane tanks and limited water supply posed challenges for crews, the fire department said. Firefighters said no injured victims were found and none were reported. The cause of this fire is under investigation.
