VIDEO: A small plane that made an emergency landing Monday on Interstate 15 caused traffic delays. The incident occurred around 4:48 p.m. on northbound I-15 near the Balboa Avenue exit, according to California Highway Patrol’s log. The San Diego Fire-Rescue Department confirmed the plane did not crash and there were no injuries. Video obtained by FOX 5/KUSI shows the plane landing in between the center divide and the fast lane as traffic moved past the aircraft. The pilot and passenger of that plane did not want to speak to FOX 5/KUSI as the plane had some sort of mechanical emergency. The plane was towed and removed safely off the freeway during the evening hours.
