San Diego Fire Department’s Fire Engine 30 stolen and driven more than 60 miles to Fallbrook

Fire Engine 30 belonging to the San Diego Fire Departmentโ€™s Station 30, located at Coronado Avenue in the Nestor community, was stolen Saturday afternoon, according to the San Diego Fire Department. The engine was taken at around 4:30 p.m. near 16th Street and Palm Avenue and found just after 5:10 p.m. more than 60 miles away, all the way in Fallbrook. Authorities say that there were no injuries connected to the theft, and that a suspect is now in custody. SDFD told NBC 7 that the California Highway Patrol is investigating what led up to the theft.
