Group of siblings save a family from a fire in Menlo Park

VIDEO: The Osamooni siblings were headed home from a movie outing with their church youth group when they stumbled upon a fire down the street from their residence in Menlo Park. The brothers were in one car when their little sister, who was driving a separate car with her sisters, saw flames coming from the back of a family home on Hill Avenue. She woke up her sleeping sisters.

“We just heard her say, ‘Guys thereโ€™s a fire.’ And we all got out of the car. We made sure our little sisters were safe, took them away from the fire, and me and my sister ran over here,” Selu Osamooni said.

“Then our brothers pulled up, and we were all constantly knocking on the windows because we saw cars and shoes outside the door, so we were sure there were people inside the house so we kept knocking, and my little brother went through the back and saw a fire and started hosing.โ€

Menlo Park firefighters tell NBC Bay Area that two small dogs were lost in the fire. The two parents and their adult children made it out of the home safely, with the dad suffering from minor injuries.
