PHOTOS: Nearly 100 firefighters worked overnight Sunday to put out a fire at a warehouse in San Diego, and hazmat was called in, the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department reports. A call at 8:36 p.m. Sunday reporting thick smoke coming from a warehouse in the 6900 block of Carroll Road near Miramar alerted firefighters to the fire. Ninety seven firefighters with the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department and City of Chula Vista Fire Department worked through the night until 2:30 a.m. to put out the fire and make sure all hotspots were extinguished. Firefighters had to fight the fire from the outside due to the risk of potential collapse. A fire investigator was assigned to investigate the fire. SDFD says hazmat was called to the warehouse Sunday night, and was brought back just before 9 a.m. Monday morning as part of the investigation. No injuries were reported.
