PHOTOS: Multiple fires in Siskiyou County continue to rage, causing evacuation orders and forest closures. The Dillon Fire, burning on the west side of the county in the Six Rivers National Forest near the Del Norte County line, began Aug. 25, 2025, posing threats to the Ti Bar community and Orleans. The blaze has burned 6,346 acres since then, and is 7% contained. Firefighters said they are conducting 24-hour operations around the fire, focusing on containment lines on both sides of the Klamath River near Ti Bar, with structure protection crews adding 200 feet of containment lines between the fire and structures during the weekend.
One-way limited controlled traffic is being conducted by CalTrans on Highway 96, west of Cottage Grove, due to fire operations and debris rolling into the roadway. The Blue Fire, which began on Aug. 27, 2025, is burning directly northeast of the Dillon Fire in the Klamath National Forest. The blaze has grown to 1236 acres with 0% containment. Firefighters said over 200 personnel were assigned to the blaze. According to forest officials, command of the Blue Fire was transferred to the management crew in command of the Dillon Fire on Sunday.
