VIDEO/PHOTOS: An electrical fire at a third-party transformer station left nearly 6,900 customers without power in Red Bluff on Saturday night, according to a PG&E representative. Turning the sky blue as it first ignited at the transformer station on Reynolds Consumer Products property.
The incident occurred around 9 PM, lighting up the skies around the city in an electric blue. Power went out for thousands including the Red Bluff Round-Up, shutting down during their Saturday night concert. Cal Fire Tehama-Glenn responded to the fire. PG&E reported that power was restored to the affected area between 10:40 and 11:00 p.m. Despite the disruption, Red Bluff Round-Up leadership said they were able to resume their event on Sunday for the final show of the year without any impact.
