A fuel spill was reported on Sunset Avenue shortly before noon after a semi-truckโs trailer became detached and damaged the vehicleโs fuel tank, according to the Springdale Fire Department.
The department said crews from Engine 1, Engine 3 and HazMat 3 responded to the incident, which resulted in the release of an estimated 50 gallons of fuel. Springdale crews also deployed containment measures to protect nearby storm drains and prevent the fuel from entering the sewer system. No injuries were reported.
