A crash in Newport involving an ambulance transporting a patient injured four people.
The Tuckerman Fire Department and Volunteer Ambulance Service said Monday evening in a social media post that an ambulance crew was involved in a collision while taking a patient to the emergency room.
Newport Fire EMS, Diaz Fire Department, Southern EMS, Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Diaz Police Department, Tuckerman Police Department, and Newport Mayor Derrick Ratliffe assisted at the scene and at the emergency room.
The names and conditions of the victims were not released.
