Tucson fire crews rescue hikers overcome by heat at Starr Pass

PHOTOS: Tucson Fire crews rescued two hikers the afternoon of May 10. The Tucson Fire Department says crews responded to the Richard Genser Starr Pass trailhead. The TFD says one hiker, who had suffered sunburn and heat exhaustion about a mile and a half into the trail, was unable to hike out. Crews used the Big Wheel to help get the hiker to safety. A second hiker was also treated at the scene. Both hikers refused transport to the hospital.
