Recent storms nearly wash away firefighting history at Hall of Flame museum in Phoenix

VIDEO: The Hall of Flame Museum of Firefighting, a collection of thousands of pieces of firefighting artifacts and over 130 fire trucks, was almost swept away during recent storms in the Phoenix area. Inside the Hall of Flame, you can find old firetrucks, uniforms, and memorabilia from all over the world, and it draws visitors from all over, too. โ€œThese were my toys as a kid, you know, rolling around on the carpet with, and to see them in person and just how many there are is incredible,โ€ said Erich Huber.

Huber stopped by the Hall of Flame while visiting the Valley for a wedding. A firefighter himself in New Jersey, Huber says he got his love for his current profession from his father. โ€œItโ€™s the best job in the world,โ€ said Huber. Dan Baker has been with the museum since 1998 and currently serves as the Program Manager and Volunteer Liaison. But what heโ€™s seen at the museum twice in the last few weeks is new to him.
