PHOTOS: One person is dead after Thursday’s multi-structure fire at Silver Creek RV Park. “Tragically, an elderly male was discovered deceased inside one of the severely damaged RVs,” said Lori Viles, Bullhead City Fire Department spokeswoman. One man was taken to Western Arizona Regional Medical Center for evaluation of possible smoke inhalation. No other injuries were reported.
The American Red Cross was called to the scene to assist displaced or affected individuals, Viles said. Emergency crews were dispatched about 12:38 p.m. to reports of three RVs on fire in the 1500 block of Gold Rush Road. Responding crews reported heavy smoke visible and upon arrival, two RVs fully engulfed, with a third on fire and beginning to spread.
People from multiple residences were evacuated. It was also reported that one man may have been trapped in one of the RVs on the west side. About 1:27 p.m., it was reported to Dispatch that fire crews were unable to enter a residence due to active fire. A fire investigator was also requested. Shortly after 3 p.m., crews reported to 9-1-1 Dispatch that the Mohave County Medical Examiner was on scene.
