The Navajo County Sheriff’s Office is reminding residents to be extra mindful during wildfire season after some drug paraphernalia was reportedly found at the scene of a roadside fire. “We never thought weโd have to say this, but here we are,” the sheriff’s office wrote in a statement. “Please do NOT throw your drug pipe out the car window.” According to NCSO, a small fire was spotted along State Route 77 near milepost 372 by a lieutenant who managed to extinguish it. NCSO posted a photo of drug paraphernalia allegedly recovered from the scene. The agency noted how “one careless act” can spark a disastrous fire, especially since the area is under Stage 2 fire restrictions. Those restrictions regulate activities involving fireworks, campfires, welding and equipment that could produce sparks.
