Navajo County Sheriff’s Office warns to ‘not throw your drug pipe’ under wildfire restrictions

The Navajo County Sheriff’s Office is reminding residents to be extra mindful during wildfire season after some drug paraphernalia was reportedly found at the scene of a roadside fire. “We never thought weโ€™d have to say this, but here we are,” the sheriff’s office wrote in a statement. “Please do NOT throw your drug pipe out the car window.” According to NCSO, a small fire was spotted along State Route 77 near milepost 372 by a lieutenant who managed to extinguish it. NCSO posted a photo of drug paraphernalia allegedly recovered from the scene. The agency noted how “one careless act” can spark a disastrous fire, especially since the area is under Stage 2 fire restrictions. Those restrictions regulate activities involving fireworks, campfires, welding and equipment that could produce sparks.
