VIDEO: A firefighter is in the hospital, and five people are without a place to stay after a mobile home fire broke out in south Phoenix Sunday afternoon. Around 2:30 p.m., crews responded to a fire near 19th Avenue and Baseline Road. When they arrived, heavy smoke and flames were coming from one of the mobile homes.
Firefighters quickly put out the fire and prevented it from spreading to other homes. One firefighter is in the hospital for an upper-body injury, but they are in stable condition. The cause of the fire is unknown. An investigation is ongoing.
