VIDEO: The Rural Metro Fire Department released new details about a large industrial fire on Tucson’s southside late Monday, Dec. 15. Rural Metro says crews responded about 10:00 p.m. to the fire in the area of East Canada Street and South Canada Place. Crews arrived and found an active fire involving building materials.
Rural Metro says the fire spread to some smaller structures located in the yard, but crews prevented the fire from spreading into the main structure on the property. Santa Rita Fire District and Drexel Heights Fire District assisted with fire control. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
