Crews battle Cub Fire caused by crash east of Phoenix

VIDEO: Fire crews in the Tonto National Forest worked to suppress a wildfire that was caused by a crash over the weekend. The Cub Fire started around 6 p.m. on Sunday. Since then, it has burned 386 acres on the east side of state Route 87, about 7 miles east of Fort McDowell, and is 39% contained. The fire prompted the full closure of SR 87 between mileposts 204 and 208, but the highway was reopened on Monday morning. Drivers are advised to expect delays in the area. Details on the crash that caused the fire were not provided.
