VIDEO: One person is fighting for life after a house fire Thursday morning in Peoria. Peoria Fire crews responded around 6 a.m. to the reported fire at a home near 75th and Olive avenues. When firefighters arrived, they saw heavy smoke and fire coming from the residence. Two people got out before fire crews arrived, but one person was still inside. Firefighters attacked the fire until they could enter the home. They found the person who was inside with serious injuries. The victim was treated at the scene, then taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, Peoria Fire said. No one else was injured during this incident. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
