A water rescue was called for a man recreationally swimming in a Scottsdale canal, according to authorities. Scottsdale and Phoenix fire crews responded to the scene at the canal.

On Tuesday, the Scottsdale Fire Department reported treating a man at the WM Phoenix Open for symptoms of heat exhaustion and transporting the patient to a hospital.

Upon arrival, firefighters found a vehicle with multiple passengers. In total, five passengers were evaluated, and two refused to be hospitalized.

The Northwest Fire District says two people are in serious condition following a house fire Tuesday morning, February 3. The fire happened off Romero and Root Lane.
