Mama moose visits Anchorage Fire Department mechanics, but she isn’t looking for an oil change

VIDEO: One four-legged visitor strolled into the Anchorage Fire Department maintenance shop, not looking for an oil change, but instead, searching for her babies. “I heard grunting, and I got out of the rig and went behind it, and there’s a mama moose,” said AFD mechanic Ryan Donahue. “She didn’t seem upset. So, I just got my phone out and started filming.” Donahue said the moose was only inside the building for about 20 seconds after she realized her calves weren’t with her. He was surprised to see the video he took of her visit quickly generated tens of thousands of “likes” and shares on social media. “I’m from here; I see moose every single day,” he explained. “[But] they normally don’t walk into your shop every day… It’s kind of cool.”
