Anchorage Fire Department Responds to Multiple Fires

The Anchorage Fire Department had a busy start to the day Monday with multiple fires requiring urgent responses within just hours of each other. The first alarm came in at 1:03 a.m., when 911 reported flames and heavy smoke coming from the roof of a home on East 24th Avenue. Multiple crews were quickly dispatched, with firefighters from Stations 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 14 all responding to the scene.

Firefighters battled the blaze for over two hours before finally bringing it under control at 3:35 a.m. But the morning didn’t slow down after that. Just as crews wrapped up, another call came in at 8:05 a.m. for a fire on Hace Street, followed by a third alarm at 9:54 a.m. on Lionheart Drive. Firefighters remained on high alert throughout the morning, handling these emergencies one after another. No injuries have been reported in any of the incidents, and the causes of the fires are under investigation.
