Toney Volunteer Fire & Rescue secures new site for future fire station expansion

Toney Volunteer Fire & Rescue has acquired some new land to build a brand new fire station. According to TVFR officials, the department purchased 3.2 acres of land from Logan Farms, located on the north side of Toney Road, west of Old Railroad Bed Road.

TVFR said that they plan to build a new fire station on the property with long-term hopes of incorporating a new storm shelter to enhance public safety.

โ€œOn behalf of the men and women of Toney Volunteer Fire & Rescue, I want to say a heartfelt thank you to the Logan family for their unwavering support for our vision for the future,โ€ said Fire Chief Heath Jones. โ€œTheir generosity and commitment to our community is deeply appreciated.โ€

The department added that the new fire station will mark a major push forward in meeting the growing demands from the Toney community and surrounding areas.
