VIDEO: David Hasty has officially been sworn in as the next fire chief of the Dothan Fire Department. This comes after former Chief Larry Williams retired at the end of last year. Chief Hasty has been employed with the city for 29 years — spending two of those with the Dothan Police Department and 27 with the fire department.
Hasty said he couldn’t have gained control at a better time as the department is in excellent standing, but he says he’s committed to providing customer service to the highest standard for Dothan citizens.
“Standing here today as chief is a honor. We have great leadership from the top to the bottom and I see our capabilities and potential and I cant wait to see that in the future and distant future,” Chief Hasty said.
Chief Hasty says he is thankful for his family, the City of Dothan who gave him a chance and those along the way who invested in him.
