A Lawrence County home was destroyed in an overnight fire, officials said on Sunday. Several agencies, including the Speake Volunteer Fire Department and the Moulton Fire Department, responded to a home near the 800 block of County Road 931 around 3:30 a.m.
When crews arrived, the home was fully engulfed in flames. The fire was brought under control, but the home was ruled a total loss. The fire left the homeowner displaced. No other injuries were reported. It’s not clear what sparked the fire.
