I-20 Reopens in St. Clair County After RV Crash, Fire

VIDEOS: Lanes reopened to traffic after an RV fire along Interstate 20 near exit 147 in Moody closed both directions of travel for several hours Labor Day evening in St. Clair County.

The Moody Fire Department says a tire blew causing the crash, then fuel lines leaked and caught the inside of the RV on fire. According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), the two-vehicle crash happened around 5:38 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 1. ALGO reported a vehicle fire in correlation with the crash. ALEA shut down both the westbound lanes and one eastbound lane in the area. Moody Police responded to the crash. They posted on Facebook to warn drivers about the crash after it happened. One lane opened in each direction around 7:30 p.m.
