VIDEO/PHOTOS: A Level Plains couple lost their home in a fire Tuesday night, but made it out safely. The couple was inside of their home in the 2700 block of West Highway 84 when the fire broke out near the front of the house around 9 p.m.
The couple inside made it out safely, but unfortunately some of their pets were killed in the blaze. Officials say about 13 to 15 animals were inside the home, and only six or seven made it out alive.
Daleville, Level Plains, Clayhatchee, and Enterprise fire departments all responded within eight minutes of getting the call. Sergeant Chase Dickerson with Level Plains Police said, โwhen police and fire arrived on scene they immediately started attacking the fire and attempting to put it out and making sure that all residents were out.โ
