A house fire in Tallapoosa County was quickly contained by several local fire departments. The Hackneyville Volunteer Fire Department confirmed the fire happened on Sunday afternoon at about 4:42 p.m. The Hackneyville Volunteer Fire Department, alongside the Alexander City Fire Department, Newsite Volunteer Fire Department and Goodwater Fire Department quickly contained and extinguished the fire without any further incident to the residence or personnel.
