The Speake Volunteer Fire Department responded to a house fire Saturday morning, according to their Facebook post. Just after 9 a.m., Speake VFD was dispatched to the 5000 block of County Road 87. Multiple Moulton Fire units also responded to the scene. The fire was contained to a single room, which crews quickly extinguished by 9:29 a.m. One occupant was evaluated by EMS for non life-threatening injuries.
