3 pets rescued from Florence house fire

PHOTOS: Florence Fire & Rescue crews worked to put out a house fire Sunday evening. FFR said that just after 7 p.m., crews from Stations 1, 2 and 4 responded to a structure fire on Fulton Street. The department said Engine 4 arrived first and found heavy fire from the carport that had also extended to part of the house and the attic. The department said Engine 4โ€™s crew was able to control the fire as other units arrived on the scene to help. The fire was reportedly put out after an hour of crews working to put out hot spots before it was declared โ€œout.โ€ Three pets were rescued from the residence by firefighters and there were no reported injuries from this incident. FFR said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
