The purpose of this association is to provide a forum in which the Chiefs of fire departments of cities, villages, towns and other municipal areas in this State may discuss matters of mutual interest, and to provide these Chiefs with a channel for concerted action for their continuing efforts to improve the efficiency and to elevate the status of the fire service, as well as to furnish them an aid in their efforts to promote more effective fire prevention and suppression through educational, legislative and technical means.
