Firefighters from Spokane County Fire District 9, along with help from the Spokane Fire Department and Spokane County Fire District 4, successfully prevented a structure fire from spreading to nearby homes and buildings in Mead Sunday afternoon.
According to a spokesperson from Spokane County Fire District 9, the fire broke out around 1:30 p.m. near North Wilson Street. Firefighters from multiple districts worked together to contain the blaze and protect surrounding properties.
At this time, it is not known if there were any injuries or if residents have been displaced.
