A fast response by fire crews helped keep a fire Monday night contained to just the chimney, authorities said.
Horsham Community Police Services said the Horsham Township Fire Department had three calls for service on Monday night, including two alarm calls on the 1400 block of Horsham Road.
The third call was for a chimney fire at 7:18 p.m. Monday on the 900 block of Rutledge Avenue, Horsham ChATs said.
"Due to the quick work of our fire company and mutual aid partners, the damage was limited to only the chimney," Horsham ChATs said.
Horsham ChATs said The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) recommends annual chimney inspections by a certified technician to ensure safe operation.
