Structure Fire in Lewiston Results in Estimated $50,000 Worth of Damages

A structure fire at 119 North Garden Court in Lewiston Thursday afternoon resulted in $50,000 worth of damages to the residence and the contents inside, according to the Lewiston Fire Department. Firefighters were dispatched to the Lewiston residence at around 3:20 p.m. where first arriving crews found smoke coming from all sides of the residence. According to a press release from the Lewiston Fire Department, crews had the fire knocked down in five minutes after arrival after attacking the fire with a pre-connected hose line. Crews remained on the scene for an additional 60 minutes to check for extension and overhaul the fire. Nobody was injured in the fire. The estimated damage to the residence and contents was $50,000. The initial cause of the fire remains under investigation.
