Des Moines fire crews were called to a blaze early Friday morning. It happened at 801 SE 28th St. Fire crews could be seen putting down flames on the exterior of the home. Fire officials said the occupants of the home managed to escape after a passerby alerted them to the fire. No injuries were reported in the fire. The cause is under investigation.
