VIDEO: No injuries are being reported after a garage fire on Sioux City’s 23rd Street. Firefighters say the fire was called in around 10 a.m. Tuesday in the 1200 block of 23rd Street. Heavy smoke was visible when crews arrived, and the garage was fully involved. Officials say it took firefighters about 30 to 45 minutes to get the flames under control. All fire damage was contained to the detached garage. “It was a tough fire. A lot of debris in the way. Garage fires and stuff are always tough. There is a vehicle inside so it makes it even more difficult. Fuels, propane tanks. Just lots of different things in there making it harder to put out,” said Lt. Phil Marchand with Sioux City Fire Rescue. The fire remains under investigation and a cause has not yet been determined.
