Two people, including a 5-year-old girl, were seriously injured when a vehicle struck a home in Kaimuki Friday morning, according to Emergency Medical Services.
The crash occurred at the intersection of Harding and 3rd avenues at about 7:20 a.m.
A white 2022 Toyota 4Runner was traveling west on Harding Avenue when it collided with a purple 2012 Toyota Scion that was turning right onto Harding Avenue from 3rd Avenue, according to Maj. Ben Moszkowicz of the Honolulu Police Department’s Traffic Division.
As a result of the collision, the Toyota 4Runner veered to the left across Harding Avenue and struck a home, causing exterior damage.
The home’s chain link fence as well as steps leading to the front door of the residence sustained damage. An iron handrail near the front door was also damaged.
