A man suffered "significant injuries" in a structure fire in Mangilao Monday afternoon, according to firefighter Nick Garrido, Guam Fire Department spokesman.
At 4:32 p.m., firefighters were called to a blaze at a wood-and-tin home on Sergio Cruz Stree in Mangilao, Garrido said.
The structure was completely engulfed when firefighters arrived.
Garrido said a man and a woman were outside when firefighters got there. The man had significant injuries and was taken to Guam Regional Medical City. The fire, which is under investigation, was under control at 5:01 p.m.
