Fire investigators are trying to determine what caused a blaze early Wednesday that destroyed a camper trailer. Around 5:20 a.m., Hall County Fire Rescue was dispatched to a residential fire in the 3000 block of Candler Road in Gainesville. They arrived to find a 30-foot personnel camper trailer fully involved. Crews quickly got the fire under control and extinguished it, says Hall County Fire Rescue EMS Division Chief Christie Grice. Firefighters searched the trailer and confirmed it was unoccupied. No one was injured in the fire. The camper was a total loss. The fire forced crews to close a section of Candler Road for about an hour. Grice says the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
