The Palm Coast Fire Department celebrates Battalion Chief Thomas Ascone for 25 years of service to Palm Coast Fire Department.
Ascone began his career with Palm Coast Fire Department in October of 1997 as a Firefighter-EMT; prior to employment, he was a volunteer firefighter since 1994.
He was promoted to Lieutenant in October 2000 upon the fire department coming under the control of the newly incorporated City of Palm Coast. He was promoted to captain in 2016 and most recently to battalion chief.
Ascone grew up in Palm Coast and Mahopac, New York, which he was a graduate of Mahopac High School Class of 1994. He obtained his firefighter, EMT, paramedic certifications and associate’s degree from Daytona State College. He’s also earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration from Flagler College and a master’s degree in Public Administration from Barry University.
