Brevard County Fire Rescue units responded to a residential structure fire at approximately 7 a.m. on Thursday morning. According to reports, Brevard County’s Engine 44 received the call for a residential structure fire with a reported fire on the side and roof of the residence.
Engine 44 confirmed a visible smoke column and noted a working fire on the exterior of one side and confirmed fire extension into the attic space.
“Using aggressive tactics, the crew from Station 44 quickly extinguished the fire with help from other BCFR units, Cocoa Fire Department, and Rockledge Fire Department, Great job by all involved,” said Brevard County Fire Rescue officials.
Reports suggest there were no occupants in the residence and no firefighters were injured. The scene has been turned over to fire inspectors for investigation.
