PHOTOS: South Metro Fire Rescue spent over three hours rescuing a pup from the duct of a townhouse on Tuesday evening. The department posted on X about the incident, which began when a Pekingese puppy, named Archie Bean, jumped off a bed inside a third-floor townhome in unincorporated Douglas County. Archie jumped from the bed and fell through an uncovered vent, which wouldn’t be a problem for most dogs except Archie is 12 weeks old and weighs only five pounds, according to the fire rescue. While Archie was brought back safely, it took some time and expertise. “The rescue operation was not without its challenges, as the crew had to navigate through the intricate ductwork of the townhome to locate Archie,” South Metro Fire said in the tweet.
