PHOTOS: It took nine hours and every firefighter at Boulder Fire-Rescue Department to extinguish a massive fire at a storage unit earlier this week. Tuesday, the fire department revealed the extent of damage from that blaze. The fire ignited in the wee hours of Monday morning at Extra Space Storage off Arapahoe Avenue and 55th, across the street from Flatirons Golf Course. The flames ripped through more than a dozen units, destroying 14 in all. Another 88 storage units were damaged by smoke and firefighting efforts. The cause of the fire is still unknown. The fire department says no one was injured while battling the fire.
