Firefighters extinguished a vegetation fire south of Grenada on Thursday afternoon. Cal Fire said their Siskiyou Unit assisted Montage Grenada Fire with a vegetation fire burning off of Timmons Rd. Even though strong winds gave firefighters a small challenge to gain full containment, Cal Fire said their crews were able to contain the fire to 1.5 acres.
