San Luis Obispo Police investigators believe that deliberate arson was the cause of a residential fire that displaced four San Luis Obispo on Tuesday night, according to the San Luis Obispo Police Department.
A fire broke out on Buchon Street near Johnson Avenue in San Luis Obispo around 11:05 p.m. on Tuesday night. Arriving crews found the front portion of the house fully engulfed in flames, but crews were able to quickly knock down the exterior fire, the San Luis Obispo Fire department said.
There were no reported injuries, but four occupants were displaced. After the flames were doused, firefighters began to investigate the cause of the fire and determined the fire "was suspicious" and appeared to be "a deliberate act of arson," the police department said.
