A woman was found dead after an early-morning house fire in ReddingThe fire was reported around 6 a.m. Tuesday in the 1800 block of Eugenia Avenue near West Street in Redding. When firefighters arrived the house was fully involved in flames. A woman was found dead inside the home. Investigators were called out and determined she had been, "overcome by smoke and heat." . Firefighters kept the fire from spreading to nearby homes. Eugenia Ave. is closed at West Street. Investigators say the cause of the fire is under investigation but they believe it was accidental.
