The Phoenix Fire Department is mourning the tragic loss of one of their own.
Fire officials announced Sunday that Adam Cauthron, an 18-year employee of the department, tragically passed away after an off-duty health emergency.
In a statement, Phoenix Fire says Cauthron will be remembered as a dedicated husband and father who loved his family, friends and the outdoors. Cauthron served as a firefighter paramedic who was specially trained and certified in technical rescues and hazardous materials. He was a member of FEMA’s Arizona Task Force 1 and deployed to New Mexico earlier this year to help those impacted by flooding.
A GoFundMe has been set up to help the Cauthron family during this time. Details about memorial services will be shared in the coming days.
