Firefighters extinguished a fire on the roof of a large commercial structure located near 43rd Avenue and Buckeye Road in Phoenix Saturday afternoon.
The entire building was evacuated as a precaution after large solar panels caught fire, authorities said.
Firefighters contained the flames on the roof, using multiple ladder trucks and working with engine companies, authorities said.
The fire marshal on scene is working with building management and fire investigators to learn the cause, which is unknown.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
Firefighters earlier extinguished a storage yard fire near 3rd Street and Buckeye Road which caused black smoke to be visible from downtown Phoenix on Saturday.
That fire involved a trash truck and large plastic and metal containers, and firefighters contained it with elevated master streams and hose lines.
