A woman in her 40s died on a Scottsdale hiking trail on Sunday night, the police department said.
Scottsdale police and firefighters were called to the Lost Dog Wash Trailhead for reports of someone having a medical emergency. There, they found a woman who crews attempted to save, but she died.
The woman was identified as Raleigh Rosen, an Arizona resident.
"Rosen was hiking with a long-time friend in the late afternoon on Sunday, October 24th. About one and a half miles away from the trailhead, Rosen began having trouble breathing and subsequently lost consciousness," Scottsdale Police said in a statement on Oct. 26.
Rosen's death is believed to be due to medical reasons and no foul play is suspected.
