Lockdown lifted after incident at SAU Tech's Arkansas Fire Training Academy campus in Camden

On Tuesday afternoon, the SAU Tech campus in Camden, Arkansas was on lockdown after there were reports of a man who was found nearby with a rifle. According to reports, at about 12:28 p.m., SAU Tech security got a report of a man who was spotted with what looked like a rifle at the far edge of the woods outside of a fence that was at the Arkansas Fire Training Academy (AFTA) which is about three miles from the school's main campus. Law enforcement was immediately notified and they began to search the area by using a drone. Deputy Director Jamie Goodwin made the decision to lock down the AFTA and then the school campus quickly followed suit. At around 1:45 p.m., the county sheriff's office confirmed that the incident had been contained and that there was not an active shooter on campus.
