Incredible footage shows a large smoke-filled whirlwind spinning as a fire burned through the field in Leighton, Alabama on Saturday (Aug 31).
Assistant Fire Chief with Nitrate City Volunteer Fire Department Jordan Davis, who filmed the video, said: "At approximately 1:45pm Nitrate City fire, Brick Hatton fire and Leighton fire were dispatched to a grass fire. Units arrived on scene to find a corn field burning approximately one acre on fire with wind change.
Nitrate City requested additional help from White Oak fire and Spring Valley fire. We couldn’t have been able to handle this fire without all the help from the responding agencies including Colbert County EMA and Colbert County 911 and the man upstairs for listening to our prayer to bring a rain shower over us."
