Multiple crews were rushing to the scene of a shop fire in Malvern. Geneva County EMA Director Brian Smith says a shop behind a house was struck by lightning during Tuesday’s storms and caught fire. A Geneva County EMA alert states there are gas canisters and equipment in the shop. The home is located in the Malvern area at 098 County Road 68. Multiple crews from Geneva County responded to the scene. Houston County EMA had also been alerted to the situation and was responding. No injuries have been reported.
